The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a fresh weather update, forecasting rain and thunderstorms in several northern regions of the country, including northern Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar, upper Punjab, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Thunderstorms accompanied by rain are expected in these regions, while dry weather prevails in Sindh, southern Punjab, and adjoining coastal areas.
Over the next 24 hours, rain with thunderstorms and strong winds is likely in northeastern Balochistan (including Quetta), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, upper western Punjab, and the Pothohar region. Heavy rain, hailstorms, and snowfall in mountainous areas are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Pothohar, and Kashmir. Meanwhile, isolated rain with thunderstorms is possible in southwestern Punjab, upper Sindh, and areas adjacent to the Sulaiman Mountains.
In contrast, Karachi, most parts of Sindh, and southern Balochistan, including the coastal belt, are expected to remain dry. Morning and night time temperatures are likely to be slightly cooler across most parts of the country.
